DriftPulse ("we", "our", or "us") operates the DriftPulse mobile application (the "Service").

This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service.

We collect several types of information for various purposes to provide and improve our Service.

Types of Data Collected

Location Data

• Precise GPS coordinates are collected during drift sessions
• Used for tracking drift paths and generating 3D replays
• Stored locally on device and optionally synced to Firebase Cloud Storage
• Only collected when actively recording a drift session

Personal Information

• Email address (for authentication)
• Display name/Nickname (for social features)
• User profile information (optional profile picture)

Usage Data

• Drift session logs (GPS coordinates, speed, heading, timestamps)
• Video recordings (if user chooses to record)
• App interaction data (features used, session duration)

Purchase Data

• Subscription status (active/inactive, tier, expiration date)
• Transaction IDs (for subscription management)
• Purchase receipts (validated through Apple's servers)

How We Use Your Data

Primary Uses

1. Drift Tracking: GPS data to record and replay drift sessions
2. Social Features: Profile information to enable user interactions
3. Cloud Sync: Optional backup of drift logs to Firebase
4. Subscription Management: Track premium features access

Auto-Renewable Subscriptions

DriftPulse offers auto-renewable subscriptions through Apple In-App Purchase:

Subscription Tiers

• Monthly Pro: $4.99/month
• Annual Pro: $39.99/year

Subscription Terms

• Payment charged to iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase
• Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• Account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same price
• Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the user's Account Settings after purchase
• No cancellation of the current subscription is allowed during active subscription period
• Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription

Managing Subscriptions

You can manage or cancel your subscription at:

• iOS Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → DriftPulse
• Or via the "Manage Subscription" button in the app

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

Firebase (Google)

• Firebase Authentication: User account management
• Firebase Firestore: Cloud database for user profiles and social features
• Firebase Cloud Storage: Optional backup of drift session logs
• Firebase Privacy Policy

Apple Services

• In-App Purchase: Subscription payments
• Sign in with Apple: Optional authentication method
• Apple Privacy Policy

Data Storage and Security

Where Data is Stored

• Local Storage: Drift logs stored on device in encrypted format
• Firebase Cloud: Optional cloud backup (user can enable/disable)
• Your iCloud: If using iCloud backup, data may be included

Security Measures

• All data transmission uses HTTPS encryption
• Firebase security rules restrict access to user's own data
• Subscription validation uses Apple's secure receipt verification
• Local data encrypted using iOS keychain when appropriate

Data Retention

• Drift logs: Stored until user manually deletes them
• User account: Retained while account is active
• Subscription data: Retained for billing and support purposes
• Deleted data: Permanently removed from servers within 30 days

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Delete your account and all associated data
• Export your drift session data
• Opt-out of cloud backup (use local-only mode)
• Cancel subscription at any time

Children's Privacy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:

• Posting the new Privacy Policy in the app
• Updating the "Last Updated" date
• Sending an in-app notification (for material changes)
